Susan (born under the name Suzyn, though adapted the new spelling due to her husband's mispelling) is the mother of Robin, Lila and Corrina, respectively. She was born in Cleraine. Her father was a traveling Kanemorian merchant, and her mother the second daughter of a fairly wealthy Atsirian family. The pair met accidentally, but soon fell in love amidst protests, and the family remained in Cleraine for quite a few years, up until Susan was six years of age, and then moved to Kanemoria at her father's request.
As a child, she had been fairly spoiled. Their house in Kanemoria was nothing like their residence in Cleraine; certainly it was nice enough, as the family was well off and in a decent district, but it just wasn't the same. Susan's attitude didn't go over well with the other children, and they took to teasing her and poking fun when they could, sometimes even pushing her into puddles and ruining her pretty gowns. When she would return back home with her eyes streaked with tears and her clothes covered with mud, her mother would merely cluck her tongue sadly and shake her head, chastising her only when she began to complain about it.
At twelve she was better. She was growing up, still a bit prideful and quite stubborn at that, but she had learned to hide her snobbish side, for the most part, at least enough to not get her in so much trouble. Of course, once she had finally begun to adjust, her father took ill suddenly and it was recommended that he leave the country as soon as possible, for the Atsirian climate would be better for his condition. Susan's hopes of returning to Cleraine were dashed when her parents announced that they would return to Atsiria with Lelani and Alphonso, while the older children would move into the rooms above the shop and continue running it.
Their business was a fairly successful one, as it consisted mostly of trade and importing/exporting goods of Atsirian origin to other shops, selling various necessities, silk, linens and the like. Her siblings were much more accustomed to this, as they had more experience, though it was not what she wanted, instead spending her free time studying healing and magic, and importantly, how to become more of a "proper lady". Her siblings did not mind as long as she continued to do her assigned tasks. They were fairly busy, usually in and out of the shop on occasion, leaving her to mind it more often or not during the big shipment days. Which annoyed her sometimes, but she remained quiet about it. The years passed and still her parents did not return. The correspondence continued with letters, and they were happy to hear that their father was improving, though as the time passed, it was less and less likely that their parents would ever return to Norey.
Some years later, when she was sixteen years old, an attempted robbery at the shop left both of her siblings dead in front of her eyes, and herself quite shaken and terrified at what to do. She planned on returning to Atsiria, though never quite got there, considering there was still the store to run, though she couldn't quite do it on her own, and with her family's permission sold it to new owners. Still being quite upset afterwards, and her shame and inability to truly deal with the incident overcoming her long-standing desire to go home, she eventually arrived at a chapel, and began to take an interest in religion for the first time in her life. Finding comfort in it, Susan began to change, wanting to make up for mistakes that she made earlier in life, and embracing hard work with a newfound zeal.
She met Greg at one of the services some time afterwards, and they slowly got to know one another (and their soon to be best friends Juniper and Garrison) through casual meetings. After a couple of years of knowing one another, they finally wed in the chapel. In time, they had three children: Robin, Lila, and Corrina, the youngest. And all so very different. She has a very different relationship with each of them, and naturally, they all give her reasons to worry about them. Several years ago, after her husband was left land from a relative who had passed away, it was decided that the family would move to Northern Dentoria, which would be a more wholesome atmosphere for the children.

Susan believes that she is a Good Mother. Or at least, she would like to believe that she is a "Good Mother", someone who fights for her family, is there for them when they need her, and of course, knows what is best for them. To non-family members she is generally pleasant, though may seem distant at times, unless she spends the time to build a friendship or the need to take them under her wing.
She tends to have a fairly serious mindset; she is an advocator of hard work and cannot abide laziness, which, unfortunately, exists in the form of her darling boy.
She can be either stern and patronizing, or pleasant and matronly, depending on who she is addressing. Susan can get stuck in her ways once she has looked over a situation and makes a decision. Not that it is impossible to change her mind; she can adapt, and has had to adapt to many things. Still, she is stubborn and won't back down easily if she believes that she is in the right.
She also has a tendency to be a worrier; she can worry and then overcomplicate the worry, turning molehills into mountains depending on how much it is weighing on her mind at the time. She also has a tendency to fixate on things depending on the weight of the worry, unless she is suitably distracted. If she is allowed to fixate for too long on something, however, she can and often goes into fits, in which she is genuinely upset and is unable to calm herself down. These fits can last for a few hours to a few days, depending on how stressed she has been or how serious the worry is.
When she is not having a fit, however, she does have the capability to remain very calm and determined; as long as she is able to do something with her skills, it reduces the need for her to overreact to it.

Susan has shoulder-length blonde hair, which is soft and somewhat wavy. Part of it is often pinned back, while the rest frames her face. Her eyes are a pale blue-grey in color. She dresses quite well for her status and seems very matronly.
